Summary: The institute has been immensely contributing to rainfed agriculture development policy at national, state and district level. One of the most significant contributions of the Institute has been the preparation of district agricultural contingency plans for 648 districts and operationalization of these plans by organizing State level interface meetings in coordination with Department of Agriculture Cooperation & Farmers Welfare (DACF&W), MoAFW, GoI, Agriculture departments, ICAR institutes and SAUs in various states. The Institute prepared drought proofing action plans for 24 selected districts in Rajasthan, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh in coordination with DAC & FW and State line departments. CRIDA is the knowledge partner in scaling up of climate resilient practices under the Project on Climate Resilient Agriculture (PoCRA), Maharashtra State and in development block level contingency plans and capacity building of community resources persons on climate change adaptation in close linkage with MANAGE and NIRD & PR, Hyderabad.
