The main aim of the present book is to provide an overview of the potential role and challenges of organic farming in the global perspective such as holistic sustainability, food security and overall impact. This book provides knowledge on different components of organic farming, nutrient management for sustainable agriculture, and impact assessment of organic farming with minor details. It has also explained the loopholes regarding the practice of organic farming activities after analyzing different production hubs in the country. The status and possibilities of knowledge exchange in organic farming are also evaluated and indicated how a large scale conversion of organic farming would impact on food security. The book well synthesized the knowledge on organic agriculture and might proof very useful to the students, researchers, teachers engaged in ecofriendly sustainable agriculture.
