In this edition two new chapters are added. One deals with various methods of cooling adopted for electronic devices. Design method for simple cases is indicated. The other chapter explains the principle operation of heat pipes and its applications. Heat pipes with very high conductivity are found highly suitable for cooling systems with high rates of eat generation. These are temperature control in satellites and chemical processes. # The chapter organization is maintained the same as in the previous editions except for the addition of a summary and review questions at the end of text material. # The author expresses his sincere thanks to all those who have suggested additions and modifications for the improvement of the book.
