The measurement and methodology in management are not yet fully developed in India. Board fields of management such as finance, marketing/Internatrional Business production, organisational behavioyur, human resource management, requires scientific measurements, sophisticated data analysis and interpretentions thereof. Management researchers should adopt a holistic and realistic problem-solving approach. The present book focuses on the application of advanced statistical techniques: multivariate, parametric, and non-parametric. Greater stress has been laid down on endeavouring for precise statistical assumption, the nature of mangement research problems where distinctly rigorous and sophisticated univariate and multivariate statistical methodology can be invoked with qualitatively rigorous techniques. The value of all kinds of statistical procedures in ultimately judged in terms of formulations of theoretical principle and their mangerial applications in decision-making process as well as cause and effect explanations of the otherwise inanimated statistical (estimates). Managerial decision-making are of strategic nature and the stakes involved could be extremely high. Therefore, emphasis has been laid down on precise interpretations and their conseuqnces in the world of management research and policy formulations in probabilistic terms so as to provide degree of confidence that can be reposed in their strategic decisions to minimize the chances of unanticipated or risky consequences.
